Code of Discretion

The Privacy of Entering the World of Wauqlé

Welcome to Wauqlé.

Within the House, a person is never regarded as a source of data. What is shared with Wauqlé is entrusted to it—for a correspondence, a creation, an acquisition, or a relationship—and is treated according to the purpose for which it was given.

Wauqlé does not gather information merely because it can, nor does it turn personal information into a commodity, a profile, or a means of pursuing the individual beyond the House.

The House Record

When you speak with Wauqlé, the House may receive your name, correspondence, contact details, creation specifications, measurements, references, delivery particulars, invoices, and other information you willingly place within the relationship.

Such information exists to serve the work to which it belongs: to recognise you, continue a correspondence, shape a creation, fulfil an acquisition, preserve its history, or honour an obligation.

Nothing is collected simply to make the House know more about you.

The Private Exchange

Wauqlé conducts its acquisitions through direct correspondence. Where payment is required, the relevant invoice and payment arrangements are communicated privately by email.

Financial information is handled through the payment arrangements presented for the transaction and retained by Wauqlé only where reasonably required for its records, obligations, or the continuity of the relationship.

The relationship between a patron and the House is never made into a public catalogue.

The Memory of the House

Some things are permitted to remain.

A record may be retained where it preserves the history of a creation, an existing relationship, an obligation, or another legitimate purpose of the House. When information has no remaining reason to be held, Wauqlé may allow it to depart.

Memory, within the House, is kept for meaning—not accumulation.

The Quiet Domain

Wauqlé may use limited technical and analytical information where necessary to preserve, secure, and refine its digital domain.

The purpose is not to follow the individual, predict their behaviour, or pursue them with advertising.

Wauqlé creates a place to enter, not a presence that follows you when you leave.

The Circle of Trust

Where the work requires it, Wauqlé may entrust limited information to selected services that assist with correspondence, hosting, systems, acquisition, delivery, or other necessary functions of the House.

Such information remains bound to its purpose.

Where the law requires disclosure, or where reasonably necessary to protect the House, its creations, systems, rights, or those connected to it, Wauqlé may make the appropriate disclosure.

The Safeguard

Wauqlé protects what is entrusted to it through reasonable technical and organisational measures.

No digital system can promise absolute secrecy. The House therefore makes no such performance. It offers something more deliberate: the practice of discretion.

Your Rights

Where applicable law grants rights concerning your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or otherwise, Wauqlé shall honour those rights according to the law governing the relationship.

Requests concerning personal information may be made directly to Wauqlé through its private correspondence channel.

The Age of Entry

The Wauqlé domain is intended for individuals aged sixteen and above. Wauqlé does not knowingly seek or collect personal information from those below that age.

The Evolution of Discretion

As the House evolves, so may this Code. Its current form shall always be identified by its Last Updated date.

The Code of Discretion

Privacy, to Wauqlé, is not distance.

It is respect.

What is entrusted to the House shall remain entrusted. It shall not become a possession, a commodity, or a reason to follow the person who gave it.
